when working with the preview window in gknot the autocrop results look excellent (no black borders) but the final divx has borders on all sides (sometomes huge ones). it happens to me with every movie...
how do i fix this?

thanx...

I'm betting its either your player, or your settings for your player.

What player (and release) are you using?

For example: WMP can be zoomed to 50%, making it look like there are black borders.

im using wmp 6.4 but its like that in all players...its definitively in the divx itself. when preparing i simply click autocrop then select "smart crop all"
and in the window it looks fine. the final result though...

Hmmm...

If by preview you mean the vob frames displayed in that 2nd Gknot window, that's not a view of the .avs script through filters, thats a view of the vob. (The preview button on the save&encode parameters window will run the .avs script through WMP6.4, but the following test should answer that question anyway.)

To test whether your borders are somehow built-in, open the .avi in Vdub or Nandub and take a look at individual frames. That should settle that particular issue.

If it shows built-in borders, try opening the .avs and doing the same thing. If both show black borders, something is wrong with cropping. If only the .avi shows black borders, then something is wrong with the encoding.
