View Full Version : Overburning 711 MB = unreadable

I've done an Ogg Media file and ended up with a 711 MB filesize, so I enabled Nero's overburning function and burned it. During the burning process everything went well (no errors messages).

When I open the CD with explorer it displays the 711 MB file, however when I try to play it it only plays 5 secs of a 109 min movie.

Did anyone achieved success playing CDs with 711 MB or more? What should I do (don't want to cut of credits, neither use XCD)?

I've got a LG GCE 8320B (32x 10x 40x)

P.S.: I've already played overburned Cds but were up to 707 MB.

Thanks,
c0in.

I did, with Nero/Plextor/Taiyo at about 720mb mode 1. The disc does play a major factor in this.

Also depends on the cdr, some are not much overburnable (often the better, reference gold cdrs are smaller because they have more safety-space at the edges)

Feurio! has a test to determine how much you can overburn a certain cdr, that's quite helpful
