Hi Does anybody know of a virtual cd recorder drive,
I know there are plenty of virtual cd rom drives but I want to burn a finished svcd file from ulead movie factory to a virtual drive as I can then extract the segment folder which contains the menu that movie factory created. I then use vcdxbuild (with a modified xml file) to create a working menu (movie factory dosn't produce complete menus as it only allows selection of each chapter from the menu and not selecting any chapter from any chapter).

This produces a realy good result and short of this means writing the software myself and thus not using movie factory at all!!

Cheers guys

can't you produce an image, them mount it with virtual drive, and then extract the directories/files?

Ok I did try that but the virtual drive did not seem to read the file format Movie Factory produces, and there does not seem a way to change the file system.

But I did find a way:-
as I only wanted the pictures of the chapter selection screen, I found that if I started to encode then looked in the save directory there was a newly created folder called temp. This folder held a .BMP file of the picture. Then by loading this into vcd easy I created a Mpeg file of the picture ..... so there it is, If anybody knows of a better way I would be interested.
