Hi,

I have been following this thread very closly (Makaones problem with the helicopter noise).

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26957

The problem I have is exactly the same except Besweet(beta 6) didn't fix it.

A bit more info.

When I insert the CD into my dvd player, my DD/DTS (coaxial connection) reciever reports it as Dolby Digital but no sound. If I switch over to analog mode I get that helicopter noise that Makaone reported (my PC does the same).

To start with I was using Ac3machine, but switched to Besure because the defaults would be standard.

If I make a CDDA track, it is absolutly perfect.

Thanks in advance

would you mind extracting the AC3 from this ddwav using BeSplit and trying to decode to six-waves with BeSweet ?
i wanna know if the AC3 track was encoded properly.

@DG

After I had worked out the switches properly, I finally managed to make six mono wavs using the -6ch switch, after listening to them they all appear to be working fine (All are exactly the same filesize, is this normal ?)

Thanks for your help so far..

so i can only conclude that the AC3 was correctly encoded, and correctly muxed inside the DDWAV file.
i'm afraid i can't help you more than this...

The Dolby Digital comes on, but no audio problem is probably the receiver. Some brands handle these ac3 cdr's, some don't. What make receiver did you use?
