which codecs?

which codecs do i need to play back divx with either ac3 or ogg vorbis? i just want the codecs to play back. i dont encode to either of these.

you need: audiofilters (on dooms software page)
ogg directshow filter (on dooms software page)
divx 5.02 and XVID or fddshow (divx.com xvid.org)

read everything (including this whole forum) if you still can't figure things out

hi spartacus - welcome to the forum.

... if u want to playback ogm streams with subtitless you'll also need the subtitle filter for Ogg media streams on the same page at doom9.

just got the "audiofilters.zip" and the ogg vorbis dircect show filters.

these were given to me last time. i guess i missed the audio filters, but the this ogg file i thought is for when you want to encode using ogg, but i guess not.

pretty common misperception, lol. ogg is a container format like avi, so u need the ds filters to put together ur video and audio and to play them back. vorbis is the correct term for ogg audio.
