Hmm. this is really wierd. The first time this has happened. I transcoded a 5.1 channel AC3 to a 2 channel one using AC3Machine. I can playback the original on WinDVD3 but when I play back the transcoded version. I cant hear anything. Maybe I am overlooking something. Can anyone point me to what might be the problem? Thanx. Oh BTW here is the log file

there seem to be a problem with 2.0 ac3 streams created by ac3enc.

Something I did wrong? Or do I need a newer version of the dll?

Thanx

it's not your fault.
in the meantime, when encoding to 2.0, use another format (mp3/ogg).

Any news about that ac3enc problem? I hope it will be fixed soon... Soft Encode is so slow.. :(

Here's a question to DSPguru: could you add an option to transcode the AC3 to other channel formats too? Now there are 2.0 and 5.1 (2.0 currently not working though..:() but i'd love to have 3.0 too :D

BTW, AC3Machine and BeSweet rock !! :D:D:cool:

10x maxtor.

i'm afraid i have no news for you, 'cause i didn't find the time to work on ac3enc.

btw,
the ac3enc sources are open - every1 invited to help fixing it.
