View Full Version : What is causing this error?

Hi,

I have been getting this error (see below) on every other encode I do, and I simply do not understand why?

If I re-do this entre encode, changing absolutely NOTHING except that I now only MUX the audio (as opposed to encoding it + muxing it), then it works 100%.

I am sure this is probably a silly question, but what am I doing wrong that is causing this? All the documentation that I have read has not been helpful.

Many thanks in advance, and please let me know if there is anything I should post that would help to explain the cause of this. (.avs file setting etc?)

Hi snake-boy-

Please forgive me if I'm wrong, because I'm not too good at reading those log files. It looks to me like the Video alone can't fill up the file size you're allowing. That is, it's already at maximum quality. But Video plus the Audio is within the limit. So, perhaps you're not allowing for the Audio plus Overhead when you're figuring the bit rate. Once the Video is at DRF 2, it can't get any larger. Bet it looks good, though.

And evidently you changed something between the first and second passes to make this happen. Perhaps you put the filters on only for the second pass. Or perhaps you were allowing for audio in the first pass, but not for the second. Not sure I'm right, but maybe it'll give you some ideas as to what went wrong.

Hi,

Well, it seems you were right about having reached maximum quality.
I tried doing the same encode, turning up the resolution to 640, and this seemed to do the job.

Thanks for the help!
