So far in my DVD rips that normally have low volume when I encode them with Xmpeg v4.5, Gknot seems to handle it better. I haven't noticed any really low volume like when encoding with Xmpeg. Is there a way to increase or decrease the volume (if the case should arise) in Gknot? I have looked and normalization is not an option as it changes the sound scheme by adjusting the entire volume and down-sizing it.
thanks,
Chip

gknot will always find the optimal gain that still allows you a clipping free audio experience.. so your files will be as loud as they can be without distortion.. always. You don't have to worry about this..

hahahaha....Ok, I got it.
I laugh because you sound just like a damn commercial for Gordian Knot.
Thanks for your input,
