Hi!

I installed the new version yesterday but my MPEG2 trial period is still expired...:confused:!

Any idea? I'm running XP Pro on my box!

Yeah, the trial period is not version-specific, because the protection seems to be in the registry. So unless they decide to make it reset every version, the trial is over. Of course there are ways around this, but you are on your own for that. I personally feel TMPG is worth every penny of its cost, so if you like it, then please support Hiroyuki and the team.

Hi mGuru!

You are right, but that's not the point! I've installed a brandnew version and it should not be expired from the start!

Well I am not saying that I don't agree with you, but to my knowledge, it doesn't reset with each new version.

i had tmpgenc 2.54a...planned on buying so before i purchased i updated my trial version to 2.55...when i checked my remaining days before i purchased i went from 4 days remaining to 14 days...then i dealt with reality & purchased the full version...gotta have that mpeg 2 encoder or my live is not complete!!!:eek:

just buy it...you know it's worth it...then the worrying stops & just think...free full complete updates from then on.....:p

Update to version 3 will not be free per the web site. Only for updates within the 2.x version.

Downloading another TMPEG version doesn't give you another 30 days for its 'trial'. Once thiry days are up after your first download of TMPEG then it's up, and unless you use a patch or enter a serial number you can't bring back the ability to encode with MPEG2.
