I've tried the guide on VCDhelp and on this site but they don't cover divx to scvd only DVD to svcd ! I've tried searching this forum and google to no avail ! I've tried extracting audio with virtualdub and I've also tried flaskmpeg with the cce plugin !
I've got just about every piece of downloadable software so all I need is a point in the right direction ! I've gotten really good with TMPGENC doing this , but I,ve heard CCE is faster and somewhat better quality and I've got hundreds of divx files to convert !

Yes, Cinemacraft IS better than TMPGEnc in certain respects, but, to be quite honest, for the SPECIFIC task you are trying to acomplish - i.e. transcoding source-DivX files, TMPGEnc probably REMAINS your best option. TMPGEnc is just wonderfully tolerant of differing file formats, and offers excellent (if slow) filters and resizing. If I were doing DivX-2-MPEG1/2 transcoding, I think I'd bite the bullet and continue with TMPGEnc, even though it takes a long time. What you should also bear in mind, is the fact that Cinemacraft is at it's best with full D1 frame size (that's 720x576 PAL, and 720x480 NTSC). With DivX source files, you are already gonna be WAY below this frame size, so you won't exploit the true capabilities of CCESP anyway. uae TMPGEnc and be happy. If you wanna convert DVD rips to other MPEG2 files, then THAT is when CCESP is the encoder of choice. That's just my 2 cents worth...

Thanks for the feed back . I was starting to think the same thing and TMP is working good for this purpose anyway . I guess I'll grab one of my DVDs and give CCE a try ! I've used CCE in DVD2AVI before , but I'd like to fine tune it with some other programs as per the Doom9 guides .
