Im using the cce 2.64 plugin for flask. Trying to get a 3pass vbr svcd. Ive found that I can't get an audio output at the same time, so I guess I can use an AC3 at some point with TMPGEnc.
CCE seems to be encoding the video fine. The picture quality while encoding looks tip top. But when I check the filesize during encoding, it tells me that it's 0 bytes. I have the output filetype as .mpg
Should this be something entirely different? I have searched the forums for hours now, and dont seem to have found any relevant answers. Would welcome any help.

What I am about to say may not be the actual reason...

Nevertheless, DURING the period in which a file is being written, Windows may not be able to ascertain what it's file size is, because the file-size descriptor is sometimes not written until the file is completed and finalised. Let CCE ~FINISH~ encoding the file, and THEN find out if it says the MPEG is zero bytes. If it says it's zero bytes even after CCE has finished, THEN you have a problem!

Repost once you've tried this with a finished MPEG.

Incidentally, I wouldn't recommend using CCE for audio encoding - it's one of lifes little ironies that CCE is the world's best (SOFTWARE) MPEG video encoder, and yet it's one of the world's WORST MPEG AUDIO encoders - BIZARRE!!

For a tut on using CCE for SVCD, check out this link:

(although I dare say Doom9 has done one too, at some point..).
