divx and ac3 query

I have a hollywood decoder card ,sblaster live player and creative 5.1 speaker setup
the sound from dvd,s is amazing
my question is :

I made an avi of 2010 and ripped the AC3 stream i then ran the soundless avi in zoomplayer and loaded the ac3 stream in dvd station that comes with hollywood decoder card so i can get the 5.1 sound ,
so if i were to make a 2 cd rip (soundless avi and 350 meg ac3 stream) would it be possible for a program to load the avi in lets say zoom player and load the ac3 stream in dvd station and manage the avi and sound to start at the same time.the files would have to be on the hard drive for this to work but i usually do that anyway,this is the only way i seem to be able to get my creative speaker control box to play 5.1 with an avi,it did sound great but trying to synch the programs to run in time could be tricky.

just a thought to any programmers out there who could maybe manage a small prog to do this.

maybe you should read the ac3 faq and read a little bit about ac3 and divx. make a search in the forum and read.

and you will see that it is possible to mux ac3 and divx so a player like bsplayer, powerdivx with actually play the movie with 5.1 sound.

so there is no need for ppl to code a new tool to synch the 2 programs you talk about.

ive done that but the creative decoder box doesnt pick up an ac3 stream

have you installed the filters needed?
have you set the filter to output from the spdif and have set the default output to the wave device and not directsound as it is as default?
good players that can handle ac3 are bsplayer and powerdivx.
