Disc Error!!

the last few movies ive tried to back up
waterboy
simply irresistable
porkys
all are small enough to fit on dvd-5 without any mods
they all play on ifoedit and power dvd

when i burn them(power director pro)or(nero)
they play till the title menu then "disc error"
i can press play and then it will continue to play
ive backed up almost 100 dvds no probs till now
any help? Thanks

On DVD's small enough to go onto 1 x DVD-R try DVD Decrypter.
1.Open up DVD Decrypter so it reads the DVD.
2.Select Mode (top tool bar).
3.Select ISO and then Read R.
This will give you the Disc information etc on the right hand side - the DVD size must be less than 4,718,592,000 bytes.
4.Select the destination (must be in the root) i.e. c:\xxxxxxx.ISO.
5.Click the copy icon in the bottom window DVD>HDD.
6.Wait for it to Rip (Ho Hum Cup of Tea & chocolate bar!!)
7.Select Mode again (top tool bar).
8.Select ISO and then Write W.
9.Select the image file from the root directory. There will be only one file on a NTFS filesystem - if you don't have this filesystem there could be multiple files - select the one with extension .DVD.
10.Make sure in settings - Data Type is Mode1/2048 and Write mode is DVD and select write speed for your burner/disc types i.e. x1 or x2
11.Click the copy icon in the bottom window HDD>DVD.
