In terms of software, there is a new info viewer called MovieID, which identifies the file format of movie files and displays information about them, even if the file extension is wrong. It supports many file formats, including AVI/DivX, ASF, WMV, MPEG-1/2, QuickTime and RealMedia.

A couple of software updates today including new versions of AVIUtl and a new build of DVD2AVI from the Jackei, the original author of DVD2AVI. The new build of DVD2AVI adds some P4 SSE2 optimization. A new version of DVD to AVI GUI is available, and apart from the usual amount of bug fixes, IFO parsing is also improved. In terms of subtitle tools, a new version of the popular SubRip tool is available (please refer to the Change Logs to see what's new), and also a new subtitle cutting tool called SuDiX is also available.
