Hallo All,

can I transcode *m2v file to smaller *m2v file (change bitrate)in TMPG ??

I tested it on one VOB, when I demux this VOB to m2v and transcode it to new m2v with smaller bitrate. It was OK.
After I demux all movie in SmartRipper to m2v, it was look good, movie is fool but time is wrong (in winMediaPlayer, all movie has realy 2hours but in WinMediaPlayer showed me 1.19).
I puted this fool m2v file to TMPG and push start but after 10hours my finished m2v is shorter. TMPG stoped corectly but movie is not fool(transcode finished in 3/4 of movie)

Have you some idea??

Thanks Vanda

You say you are not successfully ripping/transcoding the full movie - so tell me, please -

1) which parts of the movie are missing?

2) which movie have you ripped?

3) have you tried using DVD decryptor instead?

Thanks very much for your interest, but maybe I have solution.

I ripped Star Wars (this SW has not Eagle), I ripped all dvd in Smart Ripper. All was OK, after I used Smart Ripper for demux for *.m2v file (because SW are big for DVD-R) and this *.m2v file I wanted to transcode in TMPG. But this SW has diferent VOB ID (maybe because is dual layer), third VOB has two VOB ID (first half has VOB ID - 03-01 and second half has VOB ID - 03-02) and it was my problem, because TMPG registred only the first half of movie (up to first half of third VOB) and after stopped transcoding. My friend told me "test it with DVD2AVI and make *.d2v project"
and its OK.

Many thaks Vanda
