View Full Version : Software to check dvd specification?

Hi,
I have been having occasional problems with dvds not playing presumably because they don't conform to spec. I tried using primodvd which checks the files against the spec and fails if it doesn't conform. Unfortunately it doesn't tell you what is wrong with the files. Anyone know of any diagnostic software that can actually tell you what is wrong and maybe how to fix it?

Thanks
Glenn

gvallen,

the most comprehensive DVD-verifyer i have seen so far is
made by philips. You may obtain it here:

http://www.licensing.philips.com/ordering/soft/documents305.html

price is 500 USD.
It allows you to verify mpeg files, VOBs and complete discs.

hope this helps
