I have searched the forums for this problem but could not find an answer for myself. I am having problems converting movies from Dimension films (Jay and Silent Bob, The Others, etc.) VOB's to avi files using DVD2AVI. It seems that they interlace the start and end of the movie. When ever I try to encode to avi format, I get a file that jumps from English to French and back to English. Anyone else having this problem? If so, please fill me in on some solutions. Thanks.

If you've not yet tried it, try SmartRipper in Movie mode. It will automatically select Angle 1 of the longest program chain.

Thanks for the replies guys. Just wanted to ask Nic what program you used to rip Jay and Silent Bob. I currently use DVDDecrypter, DVD2AVI, and then TMPGEnc.

Hi-
I know Smart Ripper will do it because that's what I used to do that movie. DVD Decrypter should also if you have a recent version. Just go Tools-Settings-File Mode and make sure Multi Angle is checked.
