sonic-my dvd DECODER problem

i recently upgraded to windows xp and lost everything to do with my pc dvd player so i downloaded the latest interdvd the dvds that i have play fine but when i try and backup using sonic it says no decoder detected ,what am i doing wrong someone help

no decoder detected - means that the footage is useless for the authoring software. Do you try to use a mpeg (muxed video+audio) or vob file? Use a mpeg2 video only and wav file.
