I have all my settings input for an avi to svcd conversion but can't start the process. What am I missing?

The file must not be read only. The source cannot be a cdrom either.
Check to make sure the read only bit is not set.

Nope it was not read-only. Problem went away, though, after closing adn re-opening d2s.
