View Full Version : VobSub + AVISynth = Manual Delays Possible?
Is there a variable for VobSub so that I can manualy set a delay for the subtitles? My subs are playing too late and I'd like to move them back a bit (Maybe -250ms). I can do it in VirtualDub, but can I do it in AVISynth?

Hi h00z old buddy-
Maybe the easiest way is to open the .idx file and just before the first timestamp enter:
delay: -00:00:00:250
Then carry on like before in AviSynth. You gotta do that all the time if you're ripping anime episodes by Chapters. If you want to be really exact, make a .wav file with the audio delay already accounted for (like with HeadAC3he), enter it into some sort of WAV Editor, and then compare where the audio starts with the timestamp for that line.
Thanks man... It's been a while :)
I'm just ripping "Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure" right now and the subs are off just ever so much. Probably not enough for most people to tell, but you know me :D
