In the gordian knot guide, it's said that I must create a .d2v file before I start setting up gordian knot. But I'm wondering if I can use the .d2v file extracted by smartripper or not. And if no, why?
Thanks for your help.

only SmartRipper 2.41 make such a .d2v file,
and now read the first info in the ripping tab of GordianKnot.
use DVD2avi to create your .d2v file and all is good.

@ eva 01:
The reason why you can't use SmartRipper 2.41's created d2v file is that you need to set the field operation depending on the content of the stream - whether it is NTSC or FILM. I don't know how SmartRipper handle this one, but as the guide says, it is safe to do it by DVD2AVI.;)

and from what i recall SmartRipper's d2v-creation is (or was?) badly flawed if more complicated field-repeat flags were used...
<AD> vStrip does this correcly. ;) </AD>.
also, i find it much easier to always take care of IVTC in AviSynth instead of running over all the VOBs in DVD2AVI again if i can just have it done while ripping at no extra cost...
