Gknot encoding MPEG files (NOT .VOB)

Is there any way that Gknot can encode .mpeg/.mpg files/streams as successfully as a MPEG2 stream like .vob?

It seems to me that this would make a great program like this even better.

gknot only supports dvd2avi input.. if you can create a dvd2avi project from your input you're all set.. and as it so happens dvd2avi can open more than just vob files.. give it a shot ;)
