Hi,
What do you mean you couldn't press the "now" button? Is it disabled or no activity after you've pressed it?
To set the comp.test, you should click the "use" option to enable the "now" button and percent slider. Did you do that?

i can change the % and i can activate "use"

hmmm... that's really strange.
Why don't you re-install GKnot? Then check if VirtualDub is properly installed, too.
In case still not working, you may want to use Jonny's Divx5 Enc - it does compressibility test (http://jonny.leffe.dnsalias.com/).;)

it looks exactly like the picture to the comp-test on
the latest guide(http://www.doom9.org/gknot-divx5.htm)

ok i found out what was wrong
my gknot located an older version of virtual dub on my disk
and took it for encoding....
i didn't care about the location because i didn't want to use divX 3 or 4
i thought he would do something automaticaly ;-)
thanks for help

yes if you change the path of gordianknot, the "Now" button is greyed out. to fix this quickly you can run the gordian knot update. it asks you the location of virtualdub, and then it is fixed.

Go to the options tab and push the delete registry keys button. It fixed the problem of Gknot trying to find the location of Vdub. Someone tell me if im right.
