Hi this is my first post on here. Im a noob. Im using windows xp professional and I have noticed alot of people have problems with cce version 2.5 under windows xp. I myself had the problem of it crashing right at the end of the transcoding phase, which was a real bummer. I don't think anyone has mentioned this in any of the post but if it has been mentioned...sorry.

I remembered that under windows xp, if you right click on the cce executable file, the go to properties and then to compatibility,
switch the compatibility mode to Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 5.

After doing this, I have not had a single problem with cce running under windows xp. Hope this helps someone out there.

Oh yeah...DVD2SVCD ownz joo!!

I also use cce with winxp and luckly I haven't had to do that. My recommendation is to make sure you have updated drivers for all your hardware (especially video drivers) and ensure you have visited the evil Microsoft Empire and have brought your winxp out of the dark side by updating it also.

I have done around 50 encodes with cce and winxp with no probs.

All I'm saying is after I installed WinXP, I visited Microsoft and there was 4 or 5 updates available for my hardware and software. Just make sure you have all the latest updates.
