okay here is what ive done with newest dvd2svcd 1.0.9 build 2
i first did a rip of swordfish and that worked and the imdb got the title cover and displays great on my apex.
i then ripped rush hour 2 and did the imdb stuff and selected use cover ans title picture. but the swordfish cover is what got put in the cd images. its been over a week since this happened i kept the muxed mpegs and played the cd images both one time in daemon tools but i did not notice the title screen wrong in powerdvd. i noticed it when i played it 2 days ago. so only having the mpegs and cd images can i get that right cover in the cd images. ive used vcdeasy to extract everything in the bin file. i need to get the rush hour 2 cover as an mpeg in the cd1 image.
at this point i would like a quick and dirty fix even if its just a take the mpeg into cce or tmpeg and then rebuild the image for cd1.
ABOUT THE PROBLEM WITH IT USING THE WRONG COVER. THINKING BACK...
i might not have selected use cover as title screen. BUT THIS IS STILL A BUG! because i put a different dvd in for backup and if i did not do any of the imdb stuff or i do and not select use cover as title screen then the last used cover is used and u get the result that i have gotten!
DVD2SVCD YOU ARE THE BEST THANKS FOR THIS GREAT PROGRAM!

I'm having a problem with a DVD2SVCD that someone else ripped. When a title pic is used there is ALWAYS a sync problem with my APEX 3201. I have to use BBdmux and than bbMPEG to get rid of the title pic and than I have a perfectly sync video stream. I still need to use VCDEasy to create the bin/cue.
Is this a common problem or is this the first time anyone has heard of this? I thought I could just use winiso to remove the pic and save the file but the pic still remains in the video. I don't understand why it's still there.
It would be nice to know why this happens.

I have noticed a problem with the Apex 3201 I just purchased as well. It does seem to be associated with the title picture (or something on the first cd anyway). If I use DVD2SVCD and the finished SVCD product results in more than one cd, the second cd plays fine...no audio sync problems. The first cd is a half second or less out of sync (audio delayed). I have no problem playing them in sync on the DVD player on my computer or on other stand alone machines. I have tried the Apex 600a and also a Pioneer stand alone.

I have the exact same problem. If there is a title pic CD1 is delayed but CD2 is perfect. It appears to be an APEX 3201 problem since your other two DVD standalone's play fine. Like with you, it plays fine on my PC using Power DVD. If you get a SVCD from someone else you can still correct it like I did by using bbdmux and bbMPEG. If you have daemon tools (http://www.daemon-tools.net/main.htm) you don't have to extract the mpg file.
I make two bat files and mount the bin to my virtual drive F:, than I create a folder at d:\encode. Of course your drive letters will be different. Copy each line into a separate notepad file than change the extention to .bat. You can get bbdmux (part of bbTools) (http://www.doom9.org/software2.htm#vobtools) from Doom's download page and bbMPEG you already have from the DVD2SVCD program. Put the program (bbTools) in the same directory as the bat files below.
bbdmux F:\MPEG2\avseq01.mpg 0xc0 d:\encode\audio.m2a
bbdmux F:\MPEG2\avseq01.mpg 0xe0 d:\encode\video.m2v

I have 2 Apex players, one plays svcd with title pic fine and the other plays svcd w/title pic out of sync everytime.
my solution, no more title pics. I want mine to be as standard as possible so no one would have problems.

that is crazy! i have the apex 5131 and the apex ad-1000 both play the title picture fine! no audio video syunc problems that i have noticed and ive watched 3 or 4 of my backups with title pictures that have been downloaded.
and the wrong title picture thing is if u do not click use title picture it uses the last one. u have to manual select none or the default one.

Yes it is crazy, BUT we are talking about the APEX 3201. I spoke to someone that has the same model as you, APEX 5131 and like you said it doesn't have that problem.
I don't know if you play mp3's in your APEX 5131 but if you make a mp3 CD with the music in several folders it will play the music in one of the folders and than stop until you tell it to go to the next folder. That is crazy! My APEX 3201 will continue to play every song no matter how many folders are used. Also, your 5131 will play 1 mp3 CD and will not go to the next CD! That doesn't seem very smart for a 3 Disc player. I think I'll keep my APEX 3201.

yes, that is crazy. but it does happen. very strange.
for me, title pic works in my ad-1100 but not in my ad-1200. in the 1200 any title pic throws the sync all out of whack, the second disc of the same rip plays perfect though (because it has no title pic). using the disc that has the title pic I extract the mpg and recreate the svcd without the title pic (same movie) and it plays fine.
so it is the title pic that some of the apex have a problem with, hope you weren't doubting.
