Several Questions; effective ripping, VirtualDub Filters

Hello!

I'm ripping the first season of the Simpsons at the moment. The Problem is that encoding one episode only needs 2-3 hours. So I can't let my computer run over night.
Is there any way to say when first episode is finnished ripp the next one? Or is there a save way to start ripping all episodes at the same time?


An other question is if I can use filters From VirtualDub in DVD2SVCD because I have a combination of two deinterlacing-filters which is really nice! The only problem is that the filters need much time which I have (10-12h only for deinterlacing a 90min movie) :-)


I want to burn 2 episodes of the Simsons on one CD. I have choosen two languages (German & English). How can I burn the two files on one CD so I can also choose the language?

Ripping=no you have to do one at a time, but you do not need to encode. Once ripped you can use a batch file to do all the conversions.

As for VirtualDub the answer is a yes, but with a big caveat. VirtualDub needs RGB video and the ripped format is YUY. So you would have to convert the video to be able to use it. It's easy enough to do, but has big side effects. In my experience the color and contrast get really messed up when doing this in conjunction with DVD2SVCD. I found this in my trial of all kinds of filters and I never found a decent fix for this. It was never worth it to me to keep any of the encodes done through virtualdub as they looked aweful to me.

The easiest way would be to encode them as a single episode. Follow the steps in the Q + A for combining 2 DVD's/Sides. It does not always work because sometimes the sync gets screwed up, but when it does it sure makes life simpler.

Otherwise use VCDEasy or TSCV to create the multiple mpg burns from the mpg files and not from the cue/bin files.

Batchfile? Does DVD2SVCD support console parameters? Iv Yes where can I find the parameterlist?

Hmmm... Don't konow if I really need to convert to YUY because I always capture in this format and it works great. Maybe the filters can already work together with YUY...
How can I add the Filters to DVD2SVCD? Could't find the other filters in the installdir.
