View Full Version : Preview with DVDMaestro on ATI cards (will the ATI DVD Codec's work?)

I've been searching long and hard for the Ravisent Cinemaster software to enable preview in DVDMaestro with no luck, but I DO have ATI hardware.

I've read that ATI DVD software is an OEM of the Cinemaster product. Does this mean that it _should_ work in place of the Cinemaster software? If it should, does anyone know what version of the ATI software I should try? I've got a few ATI All-In-Wonder products, so I'm sure I have a few different versions of their DVD Software.

Many thanks,

Roveer (roveer@erols.com)

MMC 7.0 contains cinemaster 99, that works with maestro in win2k, MMC 7.5/7.6 contains cineplayer XP codecs, not sure what 7.1 and 7.2 use.

Thanks for the information. Now the mad search goes on for MMC 7.0 I thought I had it, but it looks like I have something older.

Any ideas where I can find MMC 7.0? Since I own ATI products, there's nothing wrong with me getting this software. The web site has version 7.6. I'm going to check my CD box and see if I have any older ATI CD's.

Thanks.

OK. I've read and read, and tried everything. Does anyone know how I might get the Maestro preview to work in XP? I have an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon Video Card which plays DVDs superbly. I have tried the newest version of MMC, the older version of MMC, plus placing the old Cinemaster '99 dlls in the system folders. I even bought the newest version of Cineplayer for XP. Still, nothing works. Other than that, the system and program work great. Has anyone had any successful experience in this specific configuration? Thanks in advance. :D

Well, I finally figured out how to get previews working in this situation. You need to use the full install of Cinemaster 2000. Finding it, is another matter, but it does work. :D
