Hi,

I also read the Q&A 46 and
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?&threadid=25958 but I have still the Problem:

I want to convert the Neon Genesis Evangelion DVD´s by each Eipsode, so I´ve selected them chapters! The Internal Rip also works ( I´ve tested the VOB with XMPEG and convert it to a DivX 4.02 )
But when I want to use the selected Chapters by DVD2SVCD ( Version 1.0.8 and also 1.0.9 ) CCE crashes after a Quater from the whole Process ( MPV - Multi VBR 1). With One-Pass-VBR it works!
For me it seems that DVD2SVCD want to convert the whole DVD!? hmm.... can someone help me please?

Q&A read Q60

mishu76

So,

I´ve made all whar you ( the Q&A ) sayed but there is still the problem and my PC is ok. ( Yeah I knew it :)

I´ve also converted ober 30 DVD´s and over 70 DivX and ther was never a problem with my Hardware!

I´ve also converted the whole NGE-DVD and it works too! It seems to me that maybe there is a BUG in DVD2SVCD!

Im using win 2000 and also Win-XP. Now i try it on Win 98 and on a clean ( new installed ) Win2000!

Wish me luck :)

If it fails, I make a DivX from every Episode, reload the DivX into AVI2SVCD and multiplex it with the two Audio-Streams :( I´ll hope the Qualiti is still as good as a Direct conversion :)

I´ll never give up,

Mishu76

Did you ever get it to work? I am going to be doing Neon Genesis Evangelion soon and I would like to hear your results.

Hi there,

so, i had many problems but....

It worked!

It seems that only the first DVD has a problem with CCE! So i ripped this one with DVD2SVCD + TMPGEnc + KiKa-Matrix!

The other 7 DVD´s are working with DVD2SVCD + CCE + KiKa-Matrix

But therewas still another Problem

Every first Episode of this 7 DVD had A/V-sync-problems! So I multiplexed them manually with bbmpeg ( avi2mpg2.exe ) by setting the Videostream to 1480, and both Audios to 180!

Today I try to make a bin-file with VCD-Easy!

I hop i gonna get it runnin

So if you have other results by ripping the EVA-DVD´s please tell me about your proceeding! PLEASE

CU Mishu76

Edit by DVD2SVCD: Don't ask that again here!

@mishu76 and chainsaw135
Well I was able to back up the 1st DVD with a small amount of trouble. All I did was copy the whole DVD to my HD with Smartripper. After that I ripped it from there with the internal rippers and I selected chapters 1,2 and 3 (a small note about this DVD, all the episodes are under one .ifo file and under that .ifo there are 20 chapters. The 1st 16 chapters are the epidodes, 4 chapters per episode)so that I didnt have to rip the credits. Then I ripped and converted at the same time, using CCE and 1 pass VBR. The only episode that I had a problem with was the 1st one and that cause of the 1 pass VBR as described in this thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28080

I have not done any of the other DVDs that are in this set, if I run into any weird problems I will post them here and let you guys know.
