I know Spruceup will not handle DTS files seperately,(extracted with smartripper) but is there any way to remux DTS audio into a file that Spruceup can handle? Or is DTS not supported in any way? Thanks, and don't rip on DTS, I CAN tell a difference on my 7.1 home system:D

I'm afraid SpruceUp can't handle DTS - you're looking at a much more serious application for this kind of work (like Scenarist...ouch!)

Sorry for the bad news :(

That's what I was afraid of. I guess the transcoded dvd's will have to be AC3 for now:( If I had to have DTS, I could always just split to 2 discs and keep both AC3 & DTS. Thanks Arky.

This is my first post, so I hope this works out right.

Anyway, if I'm not mistaken you kan make a DTS wav (vobrator?) and put it in Spruceup. It will think it is regular PCM audio, and so will your DVD player, but the receiver will recognize it as DTS, so bottom line it works.

At least, I think I've tested it once that way..

Not the best way though; I'm still puzzling on this... guess I'll be starting my own thread..

the dvd player would have to send the raw to the digital out to a DTS compatible amp, but that would work.

A correct additional remark!

I did mention the 'raw' issue in the DIY DTS DVD 'guide' I tried to put in a new thread, but I'm not entitled to create new threads yet, so I've got to wait a little...'(I forgot how long)

good thing I saved the 'guide' text I typed in the window in a separate text file before submitting..

VinnieB, Thanks for the idea, I'll give it a go on my next DTS title.
