View Full Version : Audio out of sync (bbMPEG?)

I was trying to reproduce PAL SVCDs in my player, which I though was not able to do conversion on the fly. You see, in my country we´ve got PAL-N, which is slightly different from PAL. So, without the conversion on the fly, I was able to play the PAL SVCDs in black and white only.
From a suggestion of markb I checked again the setup on mi DVD player, and voila! it was able of conversion-on-the-fly (playing PAL SVCDs on a NTSC TV set).
And the real the problem started.
As it comes out, the SVCDs that played perfectly in B&W, were out of sync with the conversion-on-the-fly.
I made a lot of tests (downsampling the audio, enlarging the audio like in a PAL-2-NTSC conversion, recording the SVCDs at lower speeds) but then I realize that demuxing the MPGs with TMPGEng MEPG tools and remuxing them again solved the problem (I create the SVCDs after remuxing with VCDEasy).
Oh, I'm converting AVIs, not DVDs (there are no such a thing as PAL DVDs in my country), but I´ve converted more than 50 AVI movies (NTSC sources) without a problem before.

As it seems, it must be a bbMPEG problem...

I really don´t know if this post is useful, but...

(by the way, markb, if you read this, I will appreciate any comment)
