Hi.
I just wanted to know what the ecf file does? Is it something that offers crash protection? i.e. if computer crashes will encoding take of from where it left off?

Hi-

ECF=Encoding Control File and stores information about the movie to be used during the second pass. It's nothing to do with crash protection, so if your computer crashes during the second pass, it will have to be run over again from the beginning.
