Hello there

This is my first post, I have read, and read, and read, and gotten a lot smarter. But i still have an issue with audio sync.

Ok..the details....

I have tried to use the advice that was posted on removing all extra stuff from CD image, like "title pic" and "use changeCD pic.."

And the other advice that stated that is was a good idea to set the movie offset seconds to 0.

The above advice made it possible to make SVCD´s of all of Stargate SG1 first season(NTSC) without any audio problems, in an exelent quality i might add. (thanks for that)

However, i have made a 3 CD version of "a knights Tale" (PAL), and CD1 have audiosync problems. Movie is delayed about less then 1 sec.

CD2 and 3 has no problem at all, and here comes the really strange part, on my computer running PowerDVD 3, the audio is in sync on CD1.
but on my NINTAUS DVD player(some strange korean, taiwan brand, works fine though) the audio is screwed.

Has anyone run into similar problems with SVCD and audiosync ?

I have an addon question, now that im at it.
I have used both ver 2.50 and version 2.62 of Cinema craft encoder. and 2.62 is much slower.
But i would like to make SVCD´s with 16/9 aspect ratio with no borders. Is that an 2.62 only option, or is it possible to with 2.50 as well?. The 3rd option 16/9 no borders is simply not available. And adding borders to a media that is allready in 16/9 is pretty silly.

Added a few hours later..

hmm read another post regarding this sync issue..could this 192kbit thingie really be the reason? Cause if so...that would be my problem.

You can try to reduce the audio quality just like you said that might work. The other thing you should do is post your log file so that maybe we can see something wrong with it.

You can use 2.50 to make 16:9 all you have to do is go to the MISC tab and change the DVD2SVCD level to advanced. The reason that this is not there by default is because it causes problems in most standalone DVD players.
