XIVD Quantizer

What exactly is a quantizer? What does it do? I have looked around the boards and didnt see anything answering my question. Mabe I didnt look hard enough. If this is the case please post a link the the thread.

P.S Why would a anime dvd have multi angles? (I saw them listed in SmartRipper, but no option on dvd menu to watch diffrent angles, same time also)

maybe like star wars, the different angles rely on the language you choose (so german language has some other scenes than the english language)

Well in simple word(correct me if i am wrong) it is the level of compession of a frame..The smaller tha quantizer tha smaller the compresion the better the quality the bigger the size..

If I remember correctly is the the number of the division of the frequency number that a frames consisits, so that it can be stored...(Please correct me again :) )
