hi all,
the multiplexing/muxing process hangs suddenly with some movies and, believe me or not, I can't find any reference to this unnice development nor in the FAQ or the forum.
At "multiplexing file c:\swordfisch\bbmpeg_muxed_file00.mpg" it just stops at Multiplexing progresss: 0% - 3 of 580252 A/V units.
It happened with 3 diferent films, but not with others, since I installed the 1.9.0b1 bundle, so there's not necessarily a certain relation. I use WXP on a P4 at 1,8Mhz. Makes does sense to someone? How could I overcome that in finish off this late stage of the process. If someone is interested I could attach the log file too.

I would like yet to ask a second thing: Ever happened to anyone that movies burned to a SVCD, when played in an standalone DVD always start in the the last chapter? Accesing directly chapter numbers would only work from the second on --whenever number one is pushed, the DVD set loads, and works and reads for a few minutes before going again to the last chapter. It requieres lots of rewinding tricks to get it to start with the first one? My standalone DVD is a Thomson DTH 4200. Is there a way to overcome this, either the begining from the last chapter or the almost unreachebility of the first chapter? Thanks for anyone's tip.

Nobody is answering because you did not give enough info.
Read this and then give the type of info it suggests.

thank you Mark for your reply
Sorry if as seems nobody could understand my question or wanted to answer it. I know it was not exactly the best way. I will try to do it better.
For a start, I thought that the simple mention of "muxing process suddenly stops" would have rang a bell on someone having gone through the same. The mayority of problems are common and you first of all need to be reassured that your problem is not totaly uncommon.

Off course, I know what the FAQ states about questions --don't think automatically we don't read it-- and besides I know and appreciate to the most how you and others strive to help people.
Thank you
