when can dvd be removed..urgent..plz help

Hi...

1) Can i remove the dvd from the drive after vstrip has ripped the vob files ??....is the dvd needed in the drive during any of the other processes or is it all done from the hard drive ??

2) if yes and i stop the process at this point can i just restart at a later date by just unchking "activate dvd ripping" and locating the folder where the vob files are? will an ifo be created and do i click on this or just bypass the ripping compleatly??

ive looked in the Q+A but cannot find an exact anser to these questions

Yes you can remove it when vStrip is done. Yes you can continue if you stop the process without the need fo rthe dvd.

thanks for your reply..a further question.

1) i only have a 20gig hd so often run out of space whilst using dvd2svcd.

I have a fairly longish film and is it ok to delete the vob files after a particular stage..hence to free up space...if yes when can i delete them.

2) thanks for your second reply. You said i can use vstrip and then use the vobs later. Are these all the vobs i need ( audio and video).

2) to use dvd2svcd using already ripped vob files on HD. Do i just use it as per normal but just unchking the "activate dvd rip" in the dvd rip tab ?
