film starts half way through please help

when i rip dvds and burn them without encoding they work great. but if I have to encode it to fit on dvd 5 the burned dvdr starts not at the begining but starts midway through. but if irun the film from the hard drive with power dvd it works ok. im using info edit to rip and rempg2 to encode can any one please help it will be much appreatiated.:o

everytime i cut a vob in the begining of a vob
like a logo or intro it usually starts in a different chapter
if this is the problem use ifoedit to start the movie at 1

mine usually start at 3 for some reason/easy fix
