Hi all,
I have been using GKnot for a wjile now, all the dvd's I have done are in film 95% or higher. I just came accross a dvd, that is tv Episodes , in NTSC 29.97 fps. When I set it up to encode, following the guide(s) I end up with a tiny output resolution. My Bits/(pixel*frame) is below 40% until I hit 352x272. How can I get my resolution higher?

I am a n00b when it comes to doing stuff, never had to stray from the guide(s) before, great work btw.

You could either increase to 2 cds or you could rip the episodes individually and only put 2 or so on each cd. Either way you should be able to use a higher res and still get around 50 to 70% on your comp test.

I've been doing TV eps from DVD for a while now and I generally dont go by the comp check. my Bits/(Pixel*Frame) is generally around .157 for a half CD 45 minute TV ep(one hour ep without commercials) I havent had one come out no good.

What are the eps btw? maybe i've done them and can give you some other pointers?

TRYING to do the Robotech DVD's, just finished one, looks fairly good, had to do 2 episodes for one cd or the resolution is too small.
NOW I am getting lines when there is a lot of motion on the screen. Is this Interlacing?
How do I get rid of them?

Thanks

I'd recommend the search button, except I'm sure you've already used it.
