What means Gaining in the term of audio encoding? It is noticed that the headac3he is more slower than other encoders, so I doubt whether it wasted time on the gaining. If this is the case, is it worthy?

gaining = make the sound louder

It is done in AZID itself, so I don't think this will make a difference in speed in the different programs, since all of them are based on AZID... I guess :D
