Every time I open Maestro it gets the error about
the absence of a decoder and the RealView function
doesn't work.
But it doesn't matter, all the other functions work
very well and I've already done many dvd authoring projects.

Yesterday I installed the Cinemaster codec sold with the
Matrox DVD Player and now....I have the RealView function
of Maestro working!
But...arggg...now when I compile a project Maestro gives the compiling
error "Invalid frame rate"!!!
If I unistall the Cinemaster codec, all work well again.
Why?
Someone has a solution?
TIA.

Hewtra.

HI,

1.What is your OS?

2.What makes you think cinemaster codex could be related to frame rate issue?

I use win2k.
I suppose that the "framerate error" is due to the
cinemaster codec because if I unistall it the error
vanish.
It is appeared just after the installation of the codec.
TIA.

YES! Finally, a solution to the gol-durn "invalid frame rate" errors I've been getting with Maestro and Cinemaster under Win2K! I've had this same problem since I started using DVD Maestro -- about 90% of the time, I'd get an "invalid frame rate" message while compiling. ENTIRELY AT RANDOM. I'd get the error, hit okay, then hit compile again, and it would work fine. Sometimes. It drove me nuts.

Anyway, I uninstalled the Cinemaster software that came with my Matrox G450 card, and *poof*, no more errors. Not a one. I've compiled about half a dozen since then, and they all compiled without so much as a hiccup.

I can't tell you what the cause is, but those two pieces of software DON'T play well together. Now I just need to get another software DVD player... A small price to pay, all in all.

Well, I get the same error about not being able to use Realview in Maestro due to no decoder but I have several software decoders installed. I'm using WinXP and have ATI DVD player as well as WinDVD 4 installed.

Anyone have an idea why Maestro and Realview can't use these decoders? Is there a setting I need to change for it to use them? Thanks.

Is what worked for me under both XP and Win2k is to install cinemaster 2000 1st, then install Maestro.

Anyhow, I too have ati and powerdvd, but found i needed cinemaster 2000 for it to work properly and never had a problem since.

Thanks Benf2. Is cinemaster 2000 1st still for sale? I purchased the Cinemaster DVD that Sonic took over from Ravisent (only $15) but that one doesn't work with Maestro under XP at least. I guess I need the 2000 version.

Update: I found the Matrox DVD player with Cinemaster and Realview works. I haven't tested the compile yet but I'll let you all know if I get errors as well after installing this Cinemaster version.

Hi,

I have a Matrox 540 graphics card and the Software DVD-Player that came with. However that player is called CinePlayer (also from ravisent) and it doesn´t enable playback in Maestro.
Do I do anything wrong and need to direct maestro to the player? What is the important codec called and what version re you guys using?

Please help!

Cineplayer (XP/4) is the newer version of the cinemaster codecs, you need to get cinemaster 2000 or 99 to work with DVDMaestro

6) No warez, cracks or serials! Links to content of a questionable nature, asking or offering in any way or form is not tolerated.

you have been striked (or is that supposed to be struck?)

the cinemaster codecs incur a royalty (which is why ATI have a cd check on install with the downloaded DVD component) and the link you pasted is in violation of rule 6.

and btw, i have a legal version of the cinemaster 99 codecs and they work nicely in maestro.
