choppy playback after tmpeg and ifo remux

Okay, I have followed the guides exactly for using tmpeg with Ifo edit. I strip out all of the extras and just have the main movie I want to back up on 4.7 Gig disk. After I remux and go to check the movie with either the ifo player or power dvd it is all screwed up. it starts off fine..about 30 seconds and then the video goes to playing in stills, frame by frame. I did the Matrix with no problems but the last 2, Braveheart and Casino have resulted in the same problems. Any ideas? Am I missing some small detail?

Getting something similar with The Others R2. After putting the video back into the DVD the video goes stuttery, pausing every couple of seconds. The m2v file on its own plays fine in powerdvd but once I load the ifo into powerdvd the problem occurs.
