no matter what i do, my final mpv video file from CCE is always the same resolution of 852 x 480.

VDUB frameserv, and AVIsynth borh give me the same results after being resized, wrong resolutions. Can someone please help me out as to what could possibly going wrong?

I don't think it could be my script in AVIsynth, as vdub did the same thing when using the resize filter.

Is there a video setting in CCE that could be throwing the whole thing off?

I've even tried switching OS', W2K/W98 give me the same results.

852x480 is a normal for 16:9 NTSC, when the movie is played back it is normal to be stretched from 720 width to 852 width (720 to 1024 for PAL).

CCE CANNOT change the frame size of the movie when it encodes, so as long as your input file is 720x480, the output movie will be 720x480, when you have encoded, you have selected '16:9' in CCE.

only select 16:9 if your source file is animorphic, for letterboxed pick 4:3.
