any other program similar to virtual dub

For some reason virtual dub has given me a lot of trouble, is there any other prgrams out their similar to it, mainly in respect to its being able to import a wav file and do a direct stream copy or fullstream copy.

AVIUtil. Search in doom9's download section. Not as fast as Vdub but does have some very interesting plugin that there's no Vdub's equivalent.
