hi,

I've tried to "fix" my asynchron movie by changing the frame rate (with = change so video and audio durations match under VIDEO - FRAME RATE)...

... but it doesnt work, the result is the same...

what's wrong?

in what way is the audio unsyncronized?
i mean: if it is earlier than the video or the opposite you should use the interleaving option correcting with the right value of ms,if not explain yourself.
Changing the framerate for synchronize the a/v is a "strange" way, leave it:sly:

Hi-

Kaiousama's right-you have to be more specific. If it's just a standard asynch, where it's off by the same amount all the way through, then you fool around in Audio-Interleaving-Audio Skew Correction until you get it right.

If, on the other hand, it's progressively asynch, that is, it gets worse as the movie goes along, then don't use "change so video and audio durations match" because it doesn't work, as you found out. You'll have to fool around with "change to xxx frames per second" until you get it right.

But the real question should be how it got asynch in the first place. The obvious answer is that you didn't set the delay as you should have originally, as Kaiousama mentioned. Or maybe you downsampled to 44.1 KHz, and it didn't work right. In Doom9's VDub guide is a section on fixing asynch.

Another possible cause of the non linear asynch of audio are problems regarding dropped frames by the codec that makes the total duration a little different.

Or sometimes happened to me that in changing the vob file the a/v delay becomes different and so the audio get unsyncronized from a specific frame of the video(in this case the solution is to encode each vob separately).
