ML CDs with 2 GB capacity would obviously make possible 1-pass 100 % quality DivX5 rips of most movies.
Recordable DVD is still a way off (not to mention the compatibility issues) and will be relatively expensive for the next few years I would imagine. The application of ML technology to extend DVD capacity
(eg. Blu-ray to 60 GB per side) is an interesting future prospect.
Asking this from DownUnder - things here take a while to catch up to the States.
