i think there is a program called m2edit pro that might work. Only used it once so not 100% sure.

Yes, it is possible, and, as benf2 says, M2EditPro will do this. However, TMPGEnc is several hundred dollars cheaper, and it's "MPEG Tools" will do what you require with the minimum of hassle. There are potential problems with joining M2Vs if they have been encoded using differing GOP parameters, because obviously there will be a sudden (and, as far as the DVD-authoring program is concerned, 'inexplicably confusing') discrepancy in the merged stream where the 'joint' is. the benefit of M2Edit Pro is that it can choose to either join the two separate streams as they are (which is also what TMPGEnc would do), but M2edit Pro will also give you the option to re-encode a coherent stream from the two source files. This is great, BUT, there is a caveat: M2Edit Pro ain't as good at ENCODING as it is at editing.

In short, I would suggest you try TMPGEnc to do a direct stream-copied merge. This is cheap (if not free), and you may find you have none of the above problems at all. Only if you have problems, need you re-post here and discuss other options, such as, for instance, M2Edit Pro.

Good luck. :)
