Hello,

Does anyone know how to get this player to NOT show the text every time you put in a DVD? This really annoys me and I want to find out if there is a way to have it not show up all the time. Yes it will disappear if I hit the OSD button on the remote, but I dont want to have to do that every time. Its not the subtitles, but the text at the top of the screen that shows the chapter, play time, etc. Any help or ideas is appreciated.

Doesn't the player offer a setup menu? This is where you would preform such tasks.

Nope. There is no option in the setup to get rid of this that I see. I have looked all over the setup before and didnt see anything.

Well after forgetting about this problem for a while, I got bored and started searching the web. I found out this is a BUG with the Apex AD-703. But there is a solution. A program called EZPatch will patch the firmware to get rid of this bug. There are many other things you can change, but the best one is Auto MiniDVD. I havent tried a minidvd yet since patching, but this may also solve some problems people are having with getting them to work on this player. Hope this helps.
