Hi!
At first I have ti say I'm very new with ripping and therefore I tryed DVD2SVCD which sounds very beginner friendly.
But I have a problem with encoding with CCE (it freezes at the 2nd pass or so, but my computer is alright (no hangup or so)
I read somebody of you had the same problem but he didn't know what of the points he changes was the right so solve the problem.
So i wanted to ask if somebody really knows what causes freezes!
thx

I just ran through my bug posts today testing all the ifo files I got from people who had CCE issues, and to my big surprise 3 out of 5 ifo files had 0 length chapters. So, try loading the ifo file and see if there's any 0 length chapters (movie length drop down, dvd ripping activated). Otherwise check out the suggestions in the Q&A, Q60.

Try what dvd2svcd said first then if that isn't your problem try this....
well there is no 1 thing that causes it, but with some tests you can prolly find your reason on why. so here is what you might need go and try the prime 95 torture here is the thread http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17696&highlight=prime95+stress+test
If you have more then 1 stick of ram you can try doing tests with just 1 stick, also avisynth is always being worked on as that can cause problems...try doing some trouble shooting and let us know how it goes...

ok i think i have it.
I really canged nothing except of now using the internal rip routines (before I used Smartripper)
One DVD ready with no problems and a second just encoding but looks very good.

well even tho we have no proof it sure sounds to me like what dvd2svcd said where u're missing chapters in the ifo, but either way glad u have it working:). Also You should always use internal routines before anything else, and you seen first hand smart ripper can cause problems
