View Full Version : More A/V Synch Problems
Well you can add Sony's NS500 dvd stand alone player to the list that has an A/V synch problem with DVD2SVCD.
It's about 500ms off. Has anyone found the magic bullet combination of fixes for this model - or any of Sony's current models? Would appreciate hearing from you.

All problem posts belong in basics.
Sony is about the worst(along with Panasonic and Toshiba) with supporting SVCD's or if they do support them there always seems to be issues. Just have a look at the list at www.vcdhelp.com and you will see that the cheaper the player, the better the support for SVCD's or at least it seems this way. Since the Chinese developed VCD and SVCD I guess it's no surprise.

Thanks for the "words of wisdom" Mark. Although it's good to know (& could help others), but they come at a time when it's too late to do me much good.
By the way, I was successfull in using Sefy's DVD2AVI process. Of course the quality isn't as good as DVD2SVCD.
