Hi Folks,

Ok, this may sound as a stupid question but I want to be sure : my new burner (Yamaha CDRW3200E) will work with CDRDAO only if I use the "generic-mmc" driver, with "Force ASPI" and "allow overburn" on.

I was just wondering if changing driver, forcing aspi and overburn won't harm my burner physically (I mean in a long time).

Thanks !

i dont think force aspi will harm your cd writer , but i would watch out for the over burn option ! i hear that this can lower the life of your writer , i go for the safe 700mb limit! never over burn , a few MB has no difference on the quality of a movie in my eyes!
