View Full Version : How to split mpeg 1 (xsvcd) in bbmpeg ? Not easy at all.
I encoded my home dv video to mpeg 1 (res=720x576) in CCE 2.50, CBR, bitrate = 2170, audio birate = 128. The total size of .mpv file and .mpa file is about 1.2G. After that I wanted to mux the file and split it to two mpeg files. I tried using Mpeg1, VBR (or Mpeg1, no VBR) in bbmpeg but I had so many overflow errors and it gave me 5 files with size of about 795 Mb. What was wrong here ? Could somebody tell me what settings need to be used to mux and split this file please.
Well, noone help me this, so I have to find out by myself. I can fix the problem by setting pack size = 2324, video buffer size = 230.

You need to demultiplex w/ TMPG then multiplex it back together w/ bbmpg. here: http://www.vcdhelp.com/bbmpegedit.htm Just follow this guide. Under general setting just enter the size you want each one to be(Wont be exact but will be close) like it shows under #5, I my self dont worry about steps #3 and #4.
-Hope this helps

oh ya......If your using WindowsXP as soon as you open bbmpeg, goto the top left and hit the load button.....when the next window opens hit cancel. Trust me, If you don't bbmpeg will crash everytime.....ask anyone who uses it.
